http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/05/printing-supremacy-and-client.html

The ongoing battle against the supremacy in printing is still on. Even if digital printing equipments can be bought now for a lower price, there are still those who insist on keeping the traditional offset printing alive.
Some printing companies are not swayed into using modern technologies. They still prefer having the usual working people around to do the printing themselves. May it be the complex methods involved in digital printing or just the thought of people being more effective than any machine will ever do, are some of their reasons in keeping away with what others are using.
Both old and new ways of printing has their advantages and disadvantages. So that does not point out which is better in any way. The wise thing to do is to let the customers decide the kind of printing they want done. That way, the blame will not be made on others, even the printing method itself.
It would also even out the result of the battle. So let your customers settle the score for you.

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/04/show-artworks-their-true-worth.html

Artworks are valuable creations. They are yields of talent, passion and dedication. They are cherished by the creators and relished by their recipients. Moreover, they must be made with utmost care, meticulous eyes, careful hands and efficient machinations.

Brochures, postcards, business cards, stickers and other promotional tools are tiny pieces of artwork. Nonetheless, their effectiveness cannot be overemphasized.

From conceptualization to printing, these masterpieces must be given extra leeway to extract their true worth. Quality materials, reputable printing company or printer as well as the right printing technique are crucial to come up with fabulous artworks.

As to printing technique, one of the most used is digital printing. The popularity of said technique is increasing. This is because more and more companies are shifting in favor of digital printing.

Digital brochures printing, on one hand, open a wide spectrum of fresh art concepts that triggers the creation of amazing and eye-popping brochures. Said printing can enhance designs and colors that appear to be dull and low contrast.

Digital printing also invaded other art applications. It is not only limited to printing. In fact, it includes the application of video, 3D animations, audio and text enhancements. Thus, art becomes more flexible than you can imagine.

If you want to know the right printing to suit your needs, you do not need to know about big-time or out-of-this-world tips. You only have to have first-hand knowledge about some of the general guidelines in printing.
Inkjet or laser desktop printers will be perfect if you only need a few copies of a flier or few dozen business cards. Businesses have color laser printers to cater to their needs. But many homes nowadays are using four-color printers already.
Desktop laser and inkjet printers are appropriate for proofing text and general layout but not for accurate color proofing. In commercial printing processes, designers and small business owners will want to produce some proofs first. This would be their option.
But for print projects such as glossy magazines and brochures with spot color or full color photographs is better off using offset printing. There are a lot of low-cost but high-quality laser printers that can do the job perfectly.

One of the techniques being used today is the convergence of data or documents into one common digital format. This form of managing information has been getting a lot of attention.
This is called digital convergence.
With the information compiled into an electronic format, you have the capability to manage and distribute these things using the advanced technology that is inherent in all digital system.
Having one format permits you to use the same tools and processes in dealing with all your files, whatever the origin is. You can also edit and store them into archives. A lot more options are available with digital convergence that does not exist in the past.
Moreover, once all the documents are added into a specific network, you can also share all of it with anyone who would be in need of them wherever they are in the world. They can attached in emails. The receiver can even reply to them.
As with all other forms of digital technology, all your tasks can be done in a matter of seconds. You do not have to wait for days or even weeks anymore. Now, you can save expenses that would normally go to papers because you do not have a need for them anymore.

What wireless technology is capable of

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/02/what-wireless-technology-is-capable-of.html

Today, more and more people are encouraged to work from home. But sometimes, the need to come to the office for appointments, meetings or trainings. When that time comes, chances are they need to print out some important papers or documents.

Adding a printer with a wireless interface would enable these people to print from their wireless-enabled laptops without having to go physically on the printing device amidst all the cables required to have the task done.

In the office, wireless technology will enable staff members to move a network printer easily during a workplace reconfiguration. This, without requiring IT staff to rewire or move network outlets just to have that printing done.

Also, some projects may require nontraditional work environments. For example, it may be necessary to have a team of employees work within a large conference room with several printers for a short period of time.

Rather than installing additional networking infrastructure at significant cost, a wireless printing environment could be installed in a matter of minutes.

These are just a few of the advantages that wireless technology can do for you and your business.

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/02/die-hards-and-digital-printing-in.html

In today’s age of laser and inkjet printers, I am sure many people are finding it hard to think back to the time when every printed material has to be prepared and arranged in lead type. Imagine the hard work needed just to have a single paper card printed. You cannot really blame printing companies for expensive back in those days.

But the old fashioned way of printing is not yet totally lost. There are still others who are stubbornly practicing past methods. Some of this die-hard finds it easier to balance color that way. But many don’t. The usual mistake is the lack of knowledge on color technology. Although done over and over, the result remains the same. Thus, the frustration.

Digital printing has transformed the printing technologies used today from outdated printing technologies to state-of-the-art printing techniques. Because of its advantages over other printing technologies, it serves as the best option for those businesses and individuals looking for affordable and long lasting marketing materials.

Digital printing is quickly gaining importance in the printing world as its benefits are more and more realized by printers and consumers alike. No more frustrations and less work. I wonder what the “die-hards” think…

Are you getting the “best buy” our of portable printers?

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/02/are-you-getting-best-buy-our-of.html

Portable printers may be the answer to those likes to pack light but do not come very cheap.

It is wiser to try and prioritize durability, ease of use, so you do not instantly dispose of it out of frustration, and overall performance. Compare brands. Do some research.

If you cannot do without them, make sure that the ink on your portable printer is refillable. New cartridges are quite expensive, but you will pay less than half of that if you just have them refilled.

Remember that most portable printers are generally more problematic than the regular desktop printers you are accustomed to. But the small glitches are nothing you cannot fix.

For example, your portable may suddenly ‘choke’ on larger files, because of its limited memory. When this happens, simply cancel the process in the print spool, or turn off the printer, and split the file.

You may also experience inconsistent print quality, especially if you are using paper that is not made by or recommended by your portable printer’s manufacturer. Try to stick to the prescribed brand of paper if you really need your printouts to be as good as they can be using your portable.

Creativity in the digital camera picture days

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/02/creativity-in-digital-camera-picture.html

Printing digital camera pictures have become very easy nowadays. One of the conventional ways is to send the memory card of the camera to the digital photo laboratory and let the people over there develop the images.

But if you are a regular clicker and an insatiable photographer, then it would be better if you own a digital camera printer for yourself or a digital photo printer for yourself.

If you check out the market, you would come across several types of digital photo printers. But before you get charmed by the style and features of a digital photo printer, there are some things you must keep in mind and base your buying decision on them.

When you review a printer, you should check whether the printer is capable of printing the size of the images you want or not. If it is not able to print that size, you would literally end up wasting a lot of paper and ink.

Do not get enticed by the resolutions, features and bells of the printer. Having these features does not mean that you would get the best quality printouts.

Always check for the features which would solve your purpose of intended printing quality.

Your Digital Photo Developing Options

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/01/your-digital-photo-developing-options.html

Digital photo prints usually cost the same or even less than traditional prints, but the savings go even deeper.
One of the biggest advantages digital photography has over traditional photography is that you can choose to only print the images you want. Imagine the money you would have saved over your lifetime if you could pick and choose your film based prints.
No more dozens of blurry throw away images, now digital photography technology has made it easy for you to simply submit the images you actually want, not the ones you dont.
The real question is one of quality. Luckily, the technologies that are involved are advancing rapidly. Todays digital prints are made to last decades without fading or discoloring.
The prints that you make yourself with most consumer photo printers do not share the long lifespan of prints that have been made professionally. This is mostly due to the use of commercial grade archival paper and ink in the printing process.
The lifetime of a professionally printed picture is now equivalent to the lifetimes of film based pictures. This is another major advantage that professional digital printing has over do it yourself photo printers, they last longer.

What kind of paper to use is the question…

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/01/what-kind-of-paper-to-use-is-question.html

Starch is used as a binder in the production of paper. It is the use of a starch coating that controls ink penetration when printing. Cheaper papers do not use as much starch, which is why your elbows turn black when you are leaning over your morning paper.

Stick to plain paper when you're not generating high-quality color images. Most inkjets make fewer passes when printing on uncoated stock.

Use "draft" or "economy" mode when top quality is not needed. Doing so should not degrade text quality much, and it may even produce output good enough for all but the final versions of your jobs.

Turn off resource-hungry halftoning, color-matching, and image-enhancement options when you don't need them.
Many people do not know that telling your printer what kind of paper you are using can have a dramatic effect on the finished print. Paper settings generally control the amount of ink that is put on the paper. Make sure you're using the right setting for your chosen paper.
The Plain Paper setting uses the most ink, while Glossy Film and Photo Paper settings use the least. When you find a setting that works for a particular paper type, take note of the setting so you'll be able to get the same results when you use it again.

Forget solution; watch the resolution

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/01/forget-solution-watch-resolution.html

A simple step you can take to get better prints from your digital photos...
Watch the resolution!
Remember that in order to get a quality print, you will need to have the DPI to back it up. The "Dots Per Inch", aka DPI are the stuff your photos are made of. If you do not have enough of them, you are not going to get the kind of print you want.
As a general guideline, try to keep your resolution between 200-300 DPI. Any less than that number and the photo is going to have an "edgy" or "jaggy" look to it.
More than 200-300 DPI does not hurt. But usually it is not going to improve the image much either. This is unless you look at your prints with a magnifying glass or something like it.
If your photo does not have the resolution to make the size print you want, consider a smaller print and some nice matting.
Do not force your photo program to create the extra pixels you need. Besides not working very well, it does not work that way in the first place.

Point-and-Shoot Camera vs. Professional Camera

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/01/point-and-shoot-camera-vs.html

Point-and-shoot cameras are just that: you point and shoot.
Focus is automatic, and you cannot set up shots with specific shutter speeds or aperture. Children and photo beginners are good matches for point-and-shoot digital cameras.
If you want to experiment, consider a digital camera that offers both automatic settings and manual settings so you can switch back and forth at will. Popular manual settings include focus, aperture and shudder speed.

Focus, for example—some digital cameras allow you to choose a specific, limited focal point—handy when you want one specific part of the photo in focus and the rest of the image blurred.

Digital cameras with manual settings allow you to select the shutter speed, or the length of time the aperture remains open; a six-hour-long photo of the starry night sky makes an impressive photo reminiscent of Van Gogh.

Yet still, many digital cameras offer not only automatic and manual settings, but a hybrid of the two: one-button settings for taking action shots, night shots and close-ups.
Just press the button or set the dial and the camera automatically resets the camera’s exposure and focus to suit each setting.
Which ones do you like best?

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2006/01/digital-printer-guide-when-you-shop.html

When you shop for a desktop printer to print your color photographs, what you are really looking for is a model that can deliver photorealistic results.

You want your images to look as close to real photographic prints as possible. Photorealistic printers were once very expensive to buy and operate, but technological advancements and competitive pricing have made them much more accessible to the average buyer.
High-priced dye-sublimation printers were the only models capable of delivering photorealistic prints, but the ink-jet printers of today have made tremendous strides in image quality.
Companies like Epson and HP have been aggressively pursuing the professional photography market for years, and the benefits of all their research have finally reached the amateur and serious amateur photographer, with near photo-quality printers starting at less than $100.
Look for the term "photorealistic" or "photo-quality" when you shop for a color printer. A little time spent surfing online and gathering information could save you a lot of time fighting the hindrances and traps along the way.

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/12/exploring-print-and-file-servers.html

Devoting resources to servicing file and printer sharing is a great first step to effective network printing. By setting aside a computer to run a network operating system, your users get the benefits of dedicated capacity for file and printer sharing. Not only are these operating systems more suited to sharing files and printers, but they also contain software that helps manage the print line up.
Multifunctional file and print servers provide the capability to service multiple printers from a single server. Depending on the physical connectivity of the multifunction server, printers could be attached using serial, parallel, or USB (Universal Serial Bus) ports.
Serial port connected printers have basically disappeared and parallel port connectivity for printers is quickly being replaced by USB connectivity. More printers are being connected to a PC or server using USBs, and USB cabling is not as bulky or distance-limiting as parallel printer connectivity.
However, much like the earlier example of a user's PC sharing a printer, a multifunctional file server also will be saddled with the additional strain of servicing both heavy file sharing needs and print sharing. Although these servers may ultimately be more suited for these heavier loads than a desktop PC, the responsibility of sharing files and managing printing may cause both functions to suffer performance drops.

Scrap booking at Christmas

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/12/scrap-booking-at-christmas-for-many.html

For many people, scrap booking is about getting photos safely into albums where they can be preserved and displayed. For others, it is all about the creativity of picking out papers, embellishments and journaling. But for most scrap bookers, it is the combination of the two.
Photos are generally the central focus of a scrapbook page. There are a couple of different tips and techniques for taking better photos specifically for your scrapbook pages—and great photos truly make great layouts.
Zoom in. Zoom in on your subject as much as possible. Fill the frame. That way, you would not end up with a picture showing one person and a lot of background
Shoot from different angles. Not every photo has to show the subject looking directly at the photo. Take some candid shots every now and then.
Make use of props. Do not be afraid to use props. An item of interest can help focus the viewer’s eye on the subject. Whether it is a tree or an object. Try to input these things with your subject.
Nothing like a scrap book of the pictures taken on Christmas to be preserved and remembered for a long time.

How To Sell Your Music Or Data CD-ROM Online

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/11/how-to-sell-your-music-or-data-cd-rom.html

Like they said, anything that can be brought online has been brought online.
First there were products and services. People can order these items online and get them at retail stores nearest them. Items that were even hard to find can be found easily just by browsing through some sites that cater to these same needs.
The latest additions to the online market are music and CD-ROM. This is in answer to the needs of the people of having to have CD recorded or brought but cannot find the right store to do that.
What is good about this is that the process of selling from your store is just the same as doing it online. Nothing is added or deducted from what the people needs. There is not much difference from selling the music or CD-ROM direct to doing it online. The big advantage is convenience and accessibility.
For those interested to avail of this service, go here to know more about this latest thing. You can sell it there or you can buy it there. All up to you.

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/11/cutting-on-paper-waste-by-erasing.html

Environmentalists would be glad to have the number of paper wastes reduce if the erasable ink technology being tested in Japan will prove to be a big thing. Due to the growing number of wastes from the papers used in printing, Toshiba came up with a carbon-free ink that can be erased with hear from a portable eraser machine.
The ink and machine has the capability to clean papers at a time. it will also prove to be a useful way to create more environment-friendly paper usage.
According to studies, paper wastes make up 40% or more of the total office garbage. Take note that the remaining percentage is those that are recycled.
The world dictates for a “paperless office”, but it is really impossible do things using electronic gadgetries alone. Despite all the electronic and wireless technologies being presented, there is no denying that people still want to have some things on paper.
Even though there are reports and tendencies of papers being used less and less, the demand for paper will not disappear completely.
Besides, there are still people who chooses paper over electronics. And having erasable inks is indeed another impossibility made into reality.

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/11/one-design-printed-in-many-ways.html

If you are not so conscious of the costs that will be incurred when planning a brochure or any printed material, you would probably start it from scratch. Then as you go along the process of making them, you would probably just change what needed changing and revise what needed revising.
For those who want to have consistency and save costs in brochure printing, the best way to do it is to design a single document then simply change the elements that you think will vary from one point to another.
Remember that even one small change can get expensive if it will require all new printing plates for each language or other variation.
There are many design tricks you can employ to save more money when printing variations of the same job. You just have to know them or even create them yourself if you want to save some costs.
There are ways to retain your creative designs even if there are money-saving restrictions that you have to consider. It is not always the most expensive that is the better.

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/11/alternatives-worth-checking-there-is.html

There is no reason anymore as to why people cannot alter their photos for the better. The solution? A computer and some software installed. That’s it.

First there was Photoshop. Then for some who does not want to use this and want some alternative methods of photo editing, an author (http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pixelbased/a/bybphotoeditor.htm) has compiled a list of other means people can use as an alternative to Photoshop.

Some of them are not really direct competition to Photoshop but at least they can do some of what it can do.

Ok, they are much cheaper too and can do a quickie job when you need one. Better check them out for yourself first before deciding if any of them are any good to your photo editing needs.

By the way, you can also check out some other suggestions at the article itself. Before deciding on what to use however, think of you main purpose in editing and if it will be done with the software you will be using.

If not, go straight to the printer. I am sure they can do justice to your photo for a small price.

Printing with inkjet

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/10/printing-with-inkjet.html

Recently, inkjet has developed printers that can print faster than before. Some of these printers are capable of printing out 20 pages per minute.
With these capabilities, it is no wonder people are rushing to purchase one with such lightning speed. However, it is important that these people should consider first the type of projects they will be printing about.
Indeed some printers are capable of printing many pages per minute and still maintain the print quality at the same time. But some are not. As with inkjet printers, there are lots of kinds that people can choose from. They only have to know the kinds the kind of printer that will serve their purpose the most.
Still the best thing to do is shop around some of the inkjet sites and shop to find the printer that you think will work best for you.
With all the new changes in the inkjet industry, it is important that you take the time to research the many and different kind of services the products can offer.
I think this is the key to better understand the constantly changing inkjet printer industry. Here (www.inkjet-printables.com), take a look.

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/10/ask-right-question-first.html

Do you want to print text or images? This is the question to ask before buying a printer.
Upon choosing a laser printer, you have to know that there are things that this kind of printer can do. And there are also things that it is not so good at.
Laser printers draw crisper lines than inkjets and they cost less. If you want to print out large documents, this is the printer to use. For running and maintenance purposes, laser printers can be more cost-effective too.
One factor that these printers are not so good at is when it comes to printing photos. Although the images are printed fine, they do not really have the same quality and resolution that inkjet printers have.
Whether you want to a monochrome or color printer, a choice has to made carefully. Color printers can be very expensive to maintain and to use, of course.
Do not be attracted by the color printouts that you see from some printers. Chances are, you may never see them in your own printer once you purchase the same kind.

What to Look for in Trade Show Graphics and Display Graphics

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/10/what-to-look-for-in-trade-show.html

Display graphics are essential things for a business or company and other things that people will find these things essential to. Some of the most common use of this graphics is for promotional purposes.

In order for people to know about what is in store for them, it has to be flaunted, right in front of their eyes. This way, you are 100% sure that they will see it.

However, putting up display graphics also have factors to consider first. Putting up one without considering some important points is not really ensuring it will achieve its purpose. Some of this are mentioned by Rick Hendershot already.

Resolution is one major factor. There are some suppliers who take advantage of their customers not knowing anything about this. So the tendency is for them to “cheat” on their work and make it appear like it is well done.

It is better to find a supplier that knows what they are doing and is the one suggesting things to you. It will make things a lot easier for you too.

Just remember to keep it simple. No matter what extreme suggestions you will receive, try to maintain simplicity in the designs. That is what works best.

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/10/first-ever-postal-service-bill-u.html

The U.S. Postal Service is a billion dollar sector part of the nation’s economy and employs nearly 9 million people. Over the years however, competition from more modern innovations has taken a significant portion of the income being generated by this postal services. This paved the way for the decline in the growth of first-class mails. It is understandable that with Federal Express and the Internet very much affordable and at the disposal of everyone, no one would choose the traditional way anymore.
The newly passed bill by Rep. John McHugh is enabling the postal service to compete the many competitors by using the same terms and conditions that these private sectors provide. If this works, the printers and mail houses will see some stability and predictability in rates, the first in such a long time.
If the postal people can think back in the last few years, there was a lot of unpredictability regarding the rate increase that the postal service will have. The common question was how much it was going to be.
With the new bill already in the congress, they are able to track the estimated rates and will have time to budget for that as they start getting back the glory that the postal services have once had.

Ok, so retail stores like Wal-Mart already have the capacity of providing quality
printing for a low cost. There are only some things that differ having your printing
done at home and at these retail stores.
They may be using more modern and good quality printers than you are and
techniques that you are not capable of. This would be good for those who want a good presentation in their print job. Some actually don’t.
They have a variety of choices on paper stock, inks and software. If you can save some cash spent on unimportant things, you can get some of these tools yourself.
If you think you will be printing lots of things, it is best to save resources ahead of time.
They get paid. You do the paying. At home, you would not get to spend some additional
cash to print something. All you got to do is input everything in the computer and wait.
Like Jeffrey said, think of the gasoline. Think how much money you would have saved t

I don’t know about the Kodak kiosk that is available there in Shanghai but
the results of these machines have the tendency to not meet the

there is a catch there somewhere. In this case, the quality is not at all

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/09/merging-yahoo-with-retailers-if.html

If the strategy will be pushed through by yahoo, then there is no doubt about the number of loyal users who would be grateful for having these
choices in digital printing.
The more obvious problems always come down to the images
not being able to be printed because the retailers do not support the online service provider that you have. So the usual result is not being able
to put what you have saved on the screen in paper. Actually, you can have
it in paper. Although not just the right kind that you want it to be
because of the difference in the software used.
Merging Yahoo with retailers has two advantages. People will be given
the assurance of having their digital photos stored in a safe and trustworthy place where it can be pampered to the extreme. Yahoo, of course.
Two, using the nearest retailer in their area that is in partnership with
Yahoo, photos can be printed anytime. The catch is, these retailers can
be quite less expensive but quality-conscious.
Where can people get this two combination without sacrificing one
to get the other.
Two words.
I wonder if it is already being done?

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/09/freedom-of-expression-is-harvards.html

Some people may consider having a magazine about sex to be distasteful and seemingly vulgar, but for the Dean and the students of Harvard University, they call it freedom of speech.

H Bomb magazine is a publication of the university that has been approved by the faculty, staff and students with majority of them voting in favor of having it published. Harvard may be influenced, or envied, sex-themed publications that other universities already have. So they made one of their own, the first of its kind too.

Some of the more “conservative” students though could not help but expressing their opinions about the seemingly “pornographic” contents of the magazine. But then, nobody else seem to mind the contents. The faculty even defended H bomb in saying that it is merely an artistic and literary expression of some of the people in the university.

The university hasn't lost all its conservative attributes, mind you. They are making it a point not to have shots taken inside the campus put into the magazine. Maybe they think the good image of their school will be ruined. As if...

HP is now turning their attention on the digital imaging market. Having had losses in the printing industry before, the company is quietly getting up on its feet by acquiring other printing-related companies that will help in its more integrated publishing tools and techniques.

There was a time when HP turned to using its technologies and acquiring the rights to soap operas to do that. This is a somewhat different direction and a league way out of printing. The company did not seem to gain the desired profit it hoped in these operas and are now back to printing.

Since digital photo printing is the trend today, Hp would be better off developing some of their more useful old technologies and making them keep up with the many competitions that have emerged and is continuously emerging.

They should focus more on the imaging market like cameras and scanners since that seems to be where the profits are steadily generating from. Looks like most of the people are either trying to be photographers or are just making the most of what they can do to photos these days.

And ok so they have just San Jose, CA on their mailing “printed” address. Ed made a point when he said about those whose distribution center is not San Jose, CA. I think as long as they are receiving their DVD’s and intact, the part about the address is not important anymore.

They system of printing the addresses they are having now may just be new and maybe it is not yet updated or developed more. There is also the fact that maybe the people are already using machines to print out addresses. My point here is that they might have been programmed just to put on the nearest distribution center from the files on the memory card.

But then again, it doesn’t follow if the place is far enough from the address but is till using that same address.

I think something or someone is screwing things up and haven’t noticed them yet or haven’t fix them up. Maybe I can have someone far from San Jose, CA try to have their services and check if the address is still the same.

At least the address is put on permanently now and no chance of being “unstuck”. We’ll see…

I think you should start asking for financial support from big corporations and doing that personal daily magazine yourself. A long shot, I know. But at least if it becomes famous, you will have your name embossed on it. Like they said, it was done before but it didn’t really made a big impact in the market.

Maybe the ones that they did before focused on the wrong market that is why it was not embraced well. Having a personal daily magazine is like having your own planner but with a twist in the presentation. If catered to the people who would need its convenience plus an additional entertainment then this would definitely click.

What can be more “homely” than sitting on a chair, not only at your home, and browsing through then pages of this and reading your emails and other important messages. Since there are also fun messages received in the mail, it should probably be in the magazine and into a page of its own.

I would very much like it if I can read about what is happening in my everyday life and the things and people that are also taking their part in them. The magazine way of organizing your life! And to think, you can stack them up pretty nicely according to date and have them under “My Life” category….

The CEO of HP may already have an idea that their printer division is the ones bringing in the big money that is why they separated it from their computers. I think HP inks and cartridges are of the few that gives good quality results. Maybe that is why many people use them without the printers.

There are lots of other inexpensive inks and cartridges available that promises the same quality but the prints do not exactly match or come close to those of HP. I am an HP user myself and I haven’t had any major problems with them from the time I started using them. Besides having a brand name that everyone has heard about, this company surely takes quality as their prime consideration.

As for the question, as long as HP maintains what it has started and what they are known for, it will keep printing money. As for the separation issue in this company, who knows what is going to happen in the future. Maybe it will go the other way around, with computers making the most sale and inks and cartridges decreasing. Like I said, who knows? That would be the result of just sitting around your home leaving the bulks of printing job to the machine, while you wait and maybe doze a little. The effort taken before is not being done anymore thanks to modern inventions.

From Sony comes yet another digital product that I know many people would adapt fast. This is printers that have its own remote control, making it possible to edit or print straight from your fingers and away from the computer itself. Now no one would have to walk anymore. What if people forgot to walk altogether? With just clicks from them sitting on their favorite couch, another problem is sure to come. Laziness and fatness. While others were busy doing the necessary things, some took up to writing and telling those that may not know about what will happen through writing and internet. With everybody having their own means of communication and printing, getting the warning through can be done by the push of the buttons.

If the prime purpose for posting these stuff in the internet is only for your loved ones, you probably know that millions have access to these files. Your intent then is being distributed and opened by the people worldwide and are already being noted and passed on to others.

Having the easiest form of printing done when you feel helpless and defenseless is making a way to make a difference even actions are not taken yet. Just writing out information is enough to start something that would be a source of prevention and may help a lot of people.

This strategy was done by some people before the Hurricane Katrina happened. We never know how many lives were saved and how useful this had become. All we know is that the message was sent and have been received.

What not to take on a nature, holiday trip

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/what-not-to-take-on-nature-holiday.html

Obviously if planning to take a trip on some exotic land, you may want to take pictures of places, animals and people you only see on National Geographic. As this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, bringing along the perfect but otherwise practical and easy to carry tools is a must. You would not to burden yourself carrying loads too heavy if you plan on trekking and hiking.

Taking along huge lens cameras might be able to perfect your “really interested tourist” look but it is definitely a no-no if you ask those who have been there and done it. Carrying something close to 20 pounds is something you would not want to carry around wherever you go, that is after figuring out how to get it on the plane and through customs. Hiring your own porter to carry it for you is an option not everyone can take. For sure, your trip would be ruined if all your time would be spent on looking after it for fear of losing or someone stealing it. Choosing compact digital cameras is not also advisable. Although they are easy to pack and carry, taking pictures are subjected to delays as imminent in most compact digital cameras. The picture quality is grainier than SLR digital cameras. So this is not a good option also.

The best thing to do is try out cameras first before going on your trip and see how the result will look like. You might want to try them out on your local zoo to be more in tune with your upcoming trip.

The answer to being fickle-minded is to sit back and wait

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/answer-to-being-fickle-minded-is-to.html

If you are the fickle-mind type of person, then waiting would be your thing. Nothing like taking your time before picking the best in the best things. The many choices to choose from do not help either, only adds to uncertainty and more fickle-mindedness.

If you already own a good digital camera then there is no need to switch to something else. If you are already satisfied with the digital photo printing that you have, why change? The thing to do is just sit and wait for the next model to come out. Even if you ask the experts, this would be the best advice they would give. If you are hearing humors of the next big thing from Canon or Nikon, ignore them and just enjoy what you have already. Even if the new models are announced, chances are it would take you some time to buy one. It is not always an instantaneous decision to pick one out of the many choices especially for the undecided. Stick to what you have!

Think about all the great photos and digital photo printing you would be missing by waiting. Be practical. Two or three years from now, there would be next best things coming and you more than gladly throw away what you have now in exchange for the new digital technology. This is where being fickle-minded shows its advantages. Not bad, after all.

Not only superheroes can see through clothes

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/not-only-superheroes-can-see-through.html

Hollywood and James Bond introduced a breakthrough in spy gadgetry by using infrared glasses to see through walls, barriers and even clothes. The more educated views want to have one of those for seeing through layers to the other side. The more pervert minds could not wait to have one of those to take advantage on people and see them bare.

Infrared is being molded into digital cameras nowadays to add sharpness to colored photos. The thing digital cameras and camcorders are quite sensitive to IR and they have built-in filters to resist IR. If put together with the right filters, it can work though. IR are used in some digital camera and camcorder to be able to bring brightness in the photo, thus perfecting the colors that will appear in the final result.

If using IR in these gadgets would become a thing in the future, then many perverts would surely be wanting a piece of their own. They would surely have a grand time seeing through all the clothes that they chance upon. For future reference to those who do not want to be taken advantage of, IR can see through cotton only. Other types cannot be penetrated. If IR becomes a thing of the future, probably cotton clothes would become a thing of the past too.

Flattering a woman in photos

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/flattering-woman-in-photos-not-all.html

Not all women look their best when photograph. If you have been into photographing women, you may have noticed that some of them took a lot of time getting ready to have a shot taken. Or some not wanting one taken, making excuses about not looking good in them. This is true. Knowing women, they would not want to be caught on photo looking anything but their best. Unlike men, who goes for impromptu looks and does not care how they appear in photos, the women are the exact opposite.

For the women who hated to be photographed, they now have an option to make their photos look their best other than the expensive Photoshop. Infrared films. Women should be thankful to this invention, especially those who do not have the perfect skin. With Kodak High-Speed Infrared film, every flaw in the women’s face can be removed, even the smallest of marks, making your photo appear pretty and perfect. This style makes the skin in the photograph appear in Caucasian tones, almost ghostly, that all flaws and marks in the skin instantly disappear.

Having a perfect skin is what every women wants. This technique gives them that chance to shine even for once and in photos. For a minute there, women can say goodbye to their “bad skin day” day.

Moving forward to a larger arena

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/moving-forward-to-larger-arena-major.html

Major architectural and engineering companies would have to be thankful that the digital age has come into existence. In their demands of having high-quality output but not lessening accuracy in prints, not all printers are able to keep up with these needs. Only the best of the best.

Companies like Hewlett Packard are giving the attention that these companies need and has developed printers to cater to large format digital printing requirements. Printers like HP Designjet 500 has gives quality precision to printing with continuous tones, transitions that are smoother and wider color gamut, making architectural printing more robust than any other kind or printer. With large format digital printing requiring the perfect photo and print quality, the suitability that they will acquire using these printers would be beyond what they are expecting.

As the market grows for more and more advance technologies in printing, the needed results and expectations of the people can just be a choice to make and not anymore an impossible task to achieve. If they can do it in the smallest prints, why not in the largest? In today’s world where imperfection is not an option that any company can take, only the best could satisfy the needs of the people who thrives in perfection.

Management in football and printing

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/management-in-football-and-printing-in.html

In football, the group has to have a common goal and be one in achieving that goal in order to win. Being a group, there has to be a distinct someone who would lead them to these common objectives. That someone would take on managing the whole team and making them listen and understand what he wants to say.

This is managing in action. You see them everyday in real life. On your way to work, you see people managing the streets for traffic. In the office, the boss takes on how the work should be done and properly too. In printing, a person have to manage the machines and other people to make the proper quality and effective printing result.

Invisible management? This would be the management of colors and the printing as a whole. More and more tools for color and print management are continuously being created to make managing these factors easier. Just like in football, these are the ones responsible for the smooth and consistent workflow that the process and the printers should achieve.

But unlike football, this type of management is magical. You can see the example of the final result before even finishing the printing. Can you do that with football?

Cursing Photoshop

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/cursing-photoshop-so-photoshop-is-one.html

So Photoshop is one of the greatest programs that man ever had the fortune to invent, but that does not make it immune to the curses from artists. These are the artists who took years master minding their craft, years making it and years making people appreciate it. Only to have the digital age making “digital art” a hobby. And with anyone able to make their own masterpiece using this software and technology.

Digital art is not just any picture taken and scanned using digital equipments. For something to be called a digital art, it has to be different from the original piece. By digital means, they have to be retouched, re-colored, redone and everything with “re” on it. That is the norm now in photography. Redoing everything and anything. In the process, making everything redundant. Digital Printing Company for Digital Brochures Printing Digital Catalog Printing would look as all other would because of the same process that has been done to them.

If you are a photographer and wants to be a part of this digital age, try out the changes you can do with photos and with prints using Photoshop. Because anything that is not retouched is not a digital art. It is just plain art. Old-fashioned, you can say. Plain and boring if you compare it with digital ones. If you want to be part of the digital universe, then change your art and make it look just like everyone else’s, do it the digital way.

The best things come in small packages

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/best-things-come-in-small-packages.html

Being small is cute and adorable. That may be the reason why people prefer having things in their smallest sense. Who doesn’t? The good thing about being small is that it is not very much visible but quite convenient. More accessible too.

Small is being adapted also in digital printing. It is not about the prints, it is all about the mini labs that have been in existence for quite sometime but not very much that visible for all to know about. The convenience of mini labs is the fact that other companies have the capability to merge in this kind of business and become successful in the process.

It is very common for people to make judgment from the very first impressions that they may have about something. Being small does not mean the capacity and the ability is little compared to big ones. Mini labs have been judged as not having the printing capabilities that other printers have. What most do not know is that these small labs have gone digital and is catering to every digital printing and photography needs.

Digital in small packages. Gives not small but big and quality results too just like Digital Printing Company for Digital Catalog Printing

http://matrixprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/carry-around-digital-printing-imagine.html

Imagine what it would be like just sitting at home or having a cup of coffee in an outside café or restaurant while printing digital images using laptops. Quite a convenience if you think of the alternative of finding the right printer with the proper digital equipments to cater to your needs.

The need for digital photos aroused from the need of the people to rid of the films that make processing these shots a hassle. Already tools and machines that give out the perfect pictures are rampant and there is no doubt about the quality that people can have in digital printing needs.

The newest additional would have been wireless networks that people can use for digital printing from laptops and other wireless mediums. It would even be fascinating to have people talk to their printers through this wireless network and choosing the type of printed material they need. Or even editing some of the works already done and getting them before the day ends. Wireless technology for digital printing has yet to be another additional in the fast growing printing industry.

Having digital printing wherever you go and going about it whenever you want to can sure can sure be a major hit for those who only have a few sneak times to spare from their schedules.
