Some printing paper advancement

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2006/05/some-printing-paper-advancement.html

Hollywood may not have been farther from reality when they showed people modern tools and gadgets that can make life a little bit easier. They might seem too unrealistic for now. What about in the near future?

Take for example, the case of seemingly ordinary papers. Some vendors have claimed that it has created the ultimate in paper technology by the ability to produce electronic displays on any paper kind or surface.

Although not yet recognized in the market, it is foreseen to make newspaper reading and updating an easy task and without the need for a separate sheet or object once new development have come up. It will just appear instantly on your paper. How’s that for futuristic?

If ever made available for use, newspaper printing companies will definitely have a run for their money. Even if they will still have their loyal supporters, most of them would readily embrace the nice new change.

So much for tomorrow’s news when you can have them today. Impossible? Just you wait.

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2006/04/clout-of-miniature-billboards.html

Miniature billboards, that’s how I call brochures. They may seem tiny to the eyes compared to gigantic billboards hanging around the city. Nonetheless, brochures have already proven its worth in the field of advertising science.
Brochure printing is indeed a science. It follows certain methods that can literally make or break your precious marketing strategy. Brochures persuasive power is evident. It lingers thus responded to by most of its recipients.
Since brochure printing involves step-by-step intricacies, printing companies must be extra careful not to commit fatal mistakes. If they do, said mistake can be detrimental to the business or company. It can ruin an otherwise ideal business approach.
Los Angeles brochures are armed with networking capabilities that extends the personality of a business. The need to advertise through expensive media can be dispensed with because these brochures can magnetically attract prospects, deals and can result to soaring purchases and subscriptions.

Why are printers cheap?

Why are printers cheap?

It is not the fact that there are a lot of them out in the market today. It is not also because of the newer and more modern ones that are being created. And it is not because the competition is getting stiffer.
The reason behind is that maintaining one can cost more than the initial payment you made. The most costly of all are inks.
When printers started lowering its prices, people thought that inks would follow. But it didn’t. So those who have bought their highly innovative printers have gotten more than they’ve bargained for. Maybe if they have only known how high ink prices are, they would not have bought it in the first place.
Getting into a deal that you think you can benefit should be thought hard first. You might be getting a bargain at the start but end up paying more in the long run. Try to consider other things your printer need so you will not be surprised with the expenses needed to maintain them.
This is why printers are cheap.

Printing restrictions

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2006/03/printing-restrictions.html

With minimal time going back and forth between offices and network printers, employees can really have a lot more done. This is what offices have found out when they have set up well-located access to printers. Using this strategy, users can plan out their actions and manage time more effectively.
All thanks to secure printers.
Secure printers are not like ordinary workgroup printers. They are set up to accept encrypted print jobs and to let go of them only when the correct code is given. Another way is by putting these printers in strategic places that are monitored by management or other personnel.
This is a way of keeping unauthorized people from removing print jobs in the area without being noticed.
This kind of security has two basic advantages:
It guards confidential information from being accessed. And it permits shared printer administration and cost savings to be coupled with the security of a personal printer.
Overall, all printing activities around the company is monitored and noted. Thus eliminating worries of machines and equipments being overly used.
You cannot blame management from guarding their costs, now can you?

More than just a brochure

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2006/03/more-than-just-brochure.html

Getting yourself a brochure is not just about keeping up with the trend. Having a brochure may have aroused when you saw your competition displaying their stuff in one. So, not to be outdone, you actually had one printed without any thoughts but to be like what you saw.

As was mentioned in the article, there is more to just printing a brochure.

Planning for a brochure comes with a purpose. Los Angeles Brochures Printing knows about this. That is why, the brochures they make achieve more than just the pretty pictures and typical sales ad that people see over and over again.

How a brochure is designed and printed is how it is going to work. It does not have to have the perfect and the largest picture. What it should have is the ability to sell. Sell instantly or getting readers interested.

Since brochure are the most visible and the nearest you can get to a customer, then you have to make sure you get right through them. Your brochure can really do that. You just have to know how…

Visualization is next to getting the right colors

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2006/02/visualization-is-next-to-getting-right.html

In getting the perfect tone and color for your print job, dispose of technicalities. It can help a big deal if you just try to visualize what you wanted to achieve.

Natural vision sees colors as tones. People see from the lightest to the darkest shade. By printing a deep red with dots of assorted sizes, you can achieve all of these colors with only one color ink.

It is the same thing with the colors being combined and printed. If you are not precise in printing the right size dot, the color will be wrong.

If you mess up from the beginning, then it can only get worse from there. The process is sequential. Each progressive step is based on the properly prepared previous step.

Pleasing color is the best place to start. This means that the color only needs to look believable but it does not have to match.

A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself if the image looks hard to print. If it does then it really is. You are better off with another set of colors that looks right and easy to do from the start.

Printing tips your printer wouldn’t tell you

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2006/02/printing-tips-your-printer-wouldnt.html

Majority of paper and ink companies are saying that their product are perfect because they dry instantly as opposed to others who does not. By that statement, they literally mean that they are dry to touch.

If ever you get to believe, and trust, what these manufacturers are saying, and want to frame that photo you just printed on your very reliable printer, here are some important points you have to remember just to make sure.

Allow your prints to settle for at least 15 minutes after printing.

After the allotted 15 minutes, place a sheet of white paper over the print. Try to use a standard paper. The paper acts as a sponge absorbing the outgoing gases from the printing process. Allow this procedure to continue on for twenty-four hours.

If the plain paper is crimped once removed, repeat the process for another twenty-four hours. If not, your image is ready for framing.

The purpose of this exercise? To be assured that you will not wasting a lot of time doing the printing all over again. Then you wouldn’t have to blame the printer.

Printing can make, or break, your business

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2006/02/printing-can-make-or-break-your.html

Post card printing is a great way to advertise. Post card printing, unlike flyer printing, can not be of poor quality. Post card printing is used more as a marketing tool rather than an advertising tool, as the post card printing is something that you are leaving with the individual to use.
The end product of post card printing will be around for some time. You may want your post card printing to leave a lasting impression of high quality as it is a reflection on your business. This is why it is always best to opt for a high class post card printing rather than a cheaper option.

Brochure printing is also something that should be of a high quality as this will have a direct affect on your business. It can be something that the customer will keep and refer to time and time again, so do not try to skimp on costs where this kind of printing is concerned.

In any aspect of printing, you must look into what the turn around time is for the particular kind of printing that you are considering.
This is especially important if you have a new marketing opportunity coming up. You do not want to miss out on it just because you are waiting for your printing…

Clever questions to consider when buying a laser or an inkjet printer

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2006/01/clever-questions-to-consider-when.html

Before making a grab at the first printer you see or the first printer that is being talked to you by any salesman, consider these things first. Here are a list of questions to ask about any printer, whether it is a laser or inkjet.

1. Paper handling. Can the printer handle envelopes, card stock or other odd papers you may want to use? How much paper can it hold at one time?

2. Duty Cycle. If you are in a high-volume environment, is the printer durable enough to keep up? What's its impressions-per-month rating?

3. PostScript. For heavy graphics, does the printer support the PostScript printer language?

4. Ink Cartridges - Are third-party cartridges or refill kits available?

What is the cost difference between these and manufacturer-labeled cartridges? In other words, what' is it going to cost you to feed it?

Do your homework well. And take note that cheap printers may and usually do cost more in the long run.
You have got to learn to feed them right.

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2006/01/printing-company-delivers-holiday.html

My friend once told me about one site that caters to the same purpose --- genealogy. But it was just for searching and looking up the family roots. In this article, people have the chance to print their “family tree”.

When I first heard about tracing family trees online, it got me really interested although I haven’t gotten the chance to check it out for myself. From this reading, I may have gotten that second opportunity to see things.

Many people should be thankful to whoever invented this trend. Just imagine having to look up your origin one by one. You do not even know where on earth would you start. Printing them is another thing. With companies like U Printing:Los Angeles Printing Company, seems anything is quite possible.

Imagine having your family tree displayed at your home where you can see them everyday? You wouldn’t know anyone except the nearest relatives but it surely would be interesting to think about who those people are. You would not be here today if it weren’t for them. The perfect gift, indeed.

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2006/01/be-nice-and-share-your-printers.html

Do you have only one printer but more than one computer?
If you have the computers networked together, you can enable printer sharing on the computer with the printer.
The only potential problem to be encountered is if the printer is not able to be used on a network. Most can be, but there are some that will still refuse to run.
What happens if computers are not networked together?
If they are not networked, you still have an option.
Most computer stores sell a switch box device that can be used to connect a single printer to several computers. Although this does not work every time, most of the time it does the trick. You should be able to get these switch boxes for well under $30.00.
A word of caution though. You may want to check your printer documentation to make sure that the switch box is safe for the printer in question. Not many problems are seen with using a switch box, but it never hurts to check.
Just to be on the safe side, of course…

But qualifying for a bulk rate is more complicated than that. Discounts vary according the exact quantity you are sending and the prep-work you do for the post office, and there are several other requirements to be aware of.
• All pieces must be put in the same category.
• Each mailing must contain at least 200 addressed pieces or 50 pounds of addressed pieces.
• The correct ZIP Code must be on each piece.
• All pieces must qualify as Standard Mail. Simply means no checks, bills or other material that must be sent as First-Class Mail.
• You need a permit or license to pay postage via pre-canceled stamps, permit imprints or meters.
• You must pay an annual bulk mailing fee.
• You must send the mail from the post office where you obtained the permit or license and paid the bulk fee.
• You must presort the mail.

Given these requirements, you ought to realize that you are better off using a mail house to fulfill the myriad postal requirements.

Being unique this christmas

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/12/being-unique-this-christmas.html

Christmas is synonymous with gift giving and card exchanging. For those on a tight budget but still want to share the spirit of the season, they would rather opt to letter and card sending.

Most often than not, these things are losing their value and are just set aside as typical to be looked on later on spare time. Why not add some twist to these cards to make them much more special and unique?

How do you do it? Use a stamp to add a unique look. If you have been stamping for a while, you are probably familiar with this product. But if you are new to stamping you may have not had a chance to explore the possibilities this product can give to your projects.

Most craft stores will carry a few styles, but many internet sites carry almost complete lines of these products. The original Rollagraph, for example. It is about 1 inch from top to bottom and will create a design 7 inches long.

If you just hate the idea of signing your name over and over again, this would be the best choice. If you want to be unique this Christmas, this would also be the best choice.

The article mentioned about the dying art of letterpress. Like all things that are getting extinct and passed over by time, the good advantages that people had with them are worth considering.

Nowadays, there are still a few remaining letterpresses being used by a few. But with the rapid way that things are going, they may be gone in the blink of an eye. Try comparing. Is it better with letterpress or without it?

Letterpress has permanence written all over it. And that is not something that people see much in the world today. Especially in printing.

"Switch-A-View" printing

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/11/switch-view-printing.html

Xerox (www.xerox.com) scientists have demonstrated an experimental color printing technology that allows them to print more than one image on top of another. But view only one at a time by exposing it to a specific color of light. It is the first time that alternating high-quality printed color images have been displayed by controlling the light.

This technology has turned conservative thinking upside down. The traditional challenge for color scientists is to design systems where the colors in printed images look the same whether they are viewed in incandescent or fluorescent light or by daylight. So Xerox researchers ordinarily seek ways to suppress variations in appearance.

The technique depends on specialized color management software and switching back and forth between different light sources. It also requires the use of any calibrated printer and what scientists call "a characterized illuminant" or the light from a specific, narrow wavelength band.

The technology grew out of the company's extensive investigations in color science, which account for nearly 40 percent of the Xerox research budget. Finally, success.

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/11/green-is-synonymous-with-currencies.html

The use of the color green in the backs of currency has long been an issue and has been a source of inquiries in the Bureau. it is said that during the time of its introduction, green was readily available in large quantities. Not to mention its high resistance to chemical and physical changes.

Printing the same color today, using oil-based inks, it is not unusual for the color to strike through the opposite side of the sheet. It can therefore be concluded that the early notes used were printed in darker shade of ordinary green to make the tint strike through less obvious.

With more tools and equipments and with printing companies like, Los Angeles Printing Services rampant, it is a wonder why they still have not changed the color they use for currencies. Even though some colors and other facets have changed, notice that there are still green colors in some of them.

Seems that the practice is continued on until today. Some things never change…

Unusual business cards; the “in” thing

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/11/unusual-business-cards-in-thing.html

I am sure you have heard about what about what people are doing with their business cards nowadays. If you haven’t, let me do the honor…

Business cards are done non-traditionally. Simply means they are doing the not usual things that people used to do with these cards. For example, what used to be black ink on white paper stock is now the reverse; white ink on black paper stock. Unusual. Another step to attention-grabbing heights and long lasting impression, if you get what I mean.

Is unusual business cards a great idea? Maybe. In the already competitive world, everybody is clamoring for attention. What best to do it than to be different, very different. These cards will certainly get a good advantage when people see them printed on plastic, even glass, and other not-so-usual surfaces.

One thing though. Wouldn’t people have a hard time storing them if they will be too thick or too large to fit into their business card holders?

If printers like Los Angeles Business Card Printing and others specializing in business cards can make them that way, maybe they can also provide certain holders for them. Why not?

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/11/why-vinyl-banners-are-effective.html

Point made. The good vinyl banners can do to designers all tackled here.

Now let me see if I can enumerate why vinyl banners become the effective tool that they are.

1. Because of the versatility of these banners, people see them everywhere they go. Like what was said in the article, indoors or outdoors. I think there are even the types that does not get wet. Exposure that cannot be eliminated.

2. Vinyl banners are being turned by designers as masterpieces already. There is will never be a shortage of designs to use with these banners as long as there are creative designers out there.

3. Impact. The themes they used are one of a class. Patriotic themes are the most common ones. Makes one so proud seeing that flag in the background. Flags and other signs of patriotism really do have an effect on people, even if you see them quite often.

4. They are everywhere. Oh, did I mention them already?

What more to say? Piece of advice; look for a vinyl banner and see if that doesn’t grab you in one way or another.

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/10/art-unraveled-part.html

Those artworks are a refreshing sight when you are used to seeing only Photoshop or digitally works of art. And here I was assuming that there are less and less of those kinds available today.

I especially liked that knitting part. It has always been a relaxing, though sometimes frustrating, form of art creation that has been quite famous in the past.

During those times, people will see knit creations in their best. Each one trying to outdo the other by thinking of new and innovative patterns to knit.

Don’t get me wrong but knitting in the modern world of today is synonymous with grandmothers sitting on a rocking chair. Books and movies made that impression famous and got everybody into thinking that way too.

No matter what they think about it, knitting is still an art form. A silent yet creative art that people do not get to see much today.

I am not lying when I say that if ever I stumble into a knitted work, I am amazed. I think of the time and effort put into it to achieve the end result. Guess that would be the usual reaction when seeing something beautiful yet very rare nowadays.

One thing I noticed though is that the original logos that were copied were logos that are not that known. Maybe some never made it out in the open for people to see. So how come they were recopied in the first place?

Another question to ponder on is maybe those logos have been in some very hidden and difficult to find database. The reproducers may have thought that they were making a rebirth of some unknown design and that no one would find out. They were wrong, of course.

There may still be other cases out there same as the ones Mike Davidson in his article had mentioned in his article. Makes one wonder if there is really already a shortage in the logo creativity.

Is it the times or people not anymore capable of bringing out originality and lacking in creativity? Logo owners should achieve copyrights for their logos, no matter if it is not made public yet. Better that than being stolen.

He wanted computer users, Microsoft users of course, to have a more enjoyable on-screen reading experience. That is why he made improving reading on the screen as one of his top priorities.

Expect new typefaces to appear in 2006 because Microsoft will be shipping its operating system and other software products. The typefaces are especially designed for extended on-screen reading.

Open Type technologies is a brand new font collection to improve the structure and clarity of letter forms. This simply means that stories and other forms of prints will be easier to read. The letters and words would not be mushy and soft looking which makes them difficult to comprehend.

These new fonts will be suitable for both print and on-screen application. If Bill Gates can pull this off, it would be another big thing in the printing industry as only he is capable of making. I think those with not so clear “reading eyes” would be more than thankful if ever this comes out in the market.

People have a lot to thank Bill of. Imagine not having him and his inventions around…

Many catalogers are avoiding tactics that printers have been doing to avoid costs in the catalog printing. Some are really not aware of this fact but there are others who are wise in the process.

New technologies have already come out for use in the printing industry. The availability of offset printing in the web sites is allowing printers to print more and more quality prints. Press times are shortened to make printing faster. These technologies are very advanced that the crews needed to run them are reduced.

There is also the fact that the binding process is easier nowadays. There are bindery equipments now used for both stitching and patent binding. Perfect binding, to be more specific.

This is catalog printing in the age of technology. With these advanced factors in the printing industry, looks like catalogs are here to stay for quite some time. No chance of them disappearing yet.

The options include a professional looking image that can cater to the different styles that people want their print ads to be. With the millions of images all over the world, chances are every other thing that people choose will definitely be unique.

People may have already seen the personalization of cards produced by companies like Los Angeles Printing Company: Full color postcards catalog brochure. Not all though, just some.

Another thing that adds to the appeal of this software is that it appeals to the emotions that people find irresistible. Not to mention the perfect way to boost one’s morale and ego, form that matter. It is not all the time they see their picture and name on a postcard or a poster.

I would not be lying if I say that images can always say more than words can. Besides there are things that is difficult to express in words.

An image summarizes comprehensive and diverse thoughts into a single expressive picture. It has more tuck up in its rolled sleeves.

I know I am not exaggerating if I say that everything that can make digital printing easier has been done and is continuously being done.
Bonusprint, Ofoto, Easyshare and Photobox are just some of the choices
people can choose from. The thing now is being toen amongst the many
choices compared to the days when people do not know what to do
with their printing because of no tools or no choice at all.
One thing that remains debatable and elusive, though, is quality.
There is always the question of the desired quality in printing.
This is oftentimes overshadowed by the convenience of the printing
process that is does not matter at all. If people think they gain more
by using these technologies, then why not? If the quality is acceptable
enough, then again, why not?
Jonathan Parkyn may have stated the different ways to go about
printing digital photos but he did not actually made a stand for or against it.
The printing and the printing process would still be up to the person and the choice they will make.
Besides, there is no harm in going back to the “old ways” of printing.
The way to do this is to just ignore modern technologies.
If you can…

I think the only thing that will be a problem if creating brochures online

Thinking before inking

One way of saving iks used for printing is to have someone like Los Angeles Printing Services do the priting for you. But first, think if the amount of money you will be spending is much or less the same as the amount you need to buy your own ink.

Another way of saving inks is to simplyh switch back from colored inks to black and white. Some people amy have enough resources to print in colors information they get from the net or it is just their vanity telling them to have an exact copy of what is there on the screen. Printing a recipe you have seen on the net does not have to be in colors. Pictures do not need printing if you only want others to see them as you have seen them. Why dont you just invite them over by your computer to take a peek?

Inkjet printers amy have lowered their prices more than half than the way it used to be but that still does not make colored printing a cheap hobby. Printing in colors is better off if they will be used later on or recycled for something more worthwhile. But if it spells thrash afterwards, black and white prints would be easier to look at being thrwon away than colored ones.

If the things mentioned above still do not make people save on ink, I have got another suggestion. Try not printing at all. Do some scribbling of your own. Can save you a lot, very sure about that.

Having these cameras compatible with their printers an additional advantage for those who are already using them. Iain Thomson also mentioned about the
simultaneously launching nine cameras all at the same time. Gives people the opportunity to choose which one will suit their photo needs best.
I am sure the Canon loyal would be glad with what the
company has in store for them. This news release is timely enough for the people to add these cameras to their shopping land maybe on their “all-i-want-for-christmas” lists.

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/09/decline-can-lead-to-extinction.html

Do people notice that other printed materials are declining in sales as with newspapers? Seems to be the trend today. Blame it on the internet among others.

People have been taken refuge in the internet for their needs like shopping, research and even reading about the latest news. Who can blame them when it is easier that way and not to mention, free of charge. The thing is, the readers do not get the convenience they get online compared to that of the printed materials.

Other reasons for the decline like John Burke stated are the neglect that the people in the newspaper industry are doing, focusing more on the editing part. The stuff may be feeling the pressure that is being brought to them, causing them to be idler than try out different strategies for improvement.

It is scary to think that traditional printing would decline more and more in the future and be extinct in the process. And to think, the younger generation would not even get to see them anymore. Or would it be too old-fashioned for them too

Traditional catalog business still fighting

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/09/traditional-catalog-business-still.html

Catalog printing businesses is having a run for its money as they compete with internet generated catalog sales. But the traditional businesses are not planning on accepting defeat yet. Studies have shown that 50 percent of readers are still being very much influenced by printed catalogs that made them go online to shop.

Instead of quitting catalog printing altogether, the owners are thinking of developing the circulation more and thinking of new methods of which to market catalogs. They are even planning on learning more about the customers buying habits to be able to know the pattern on which to plan their catalog sending.

The challenge in catalog printing is to determine where the sales are generated from the most. People have been influenced either by catalogs themselves, the internet and other form of advertising like television and radios.

With more sources for buying sprees, people are slowly drifting away from traditional methods and making them leave traditional to the traditions. Why not combine these two and be done with it? Maybe they just have not figured out how best to do it.

Online Photo Printing

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/09/online-photo-printing.html

Online printing services like Los Angeles Printing Services are giving yet another reason for people to use drug stores not only for medicine buying purposes. Would seem funny going into one and comingout with finished photos in your hands.
Nowadays, photos or paper works that are done using digital devices , from the processing right down to the finished product are all done digitally.
The online photo sharing service called Snapfish is the answer to ideas that have been implemented before about having to do your work online, finish it there and give directly to printers for online printing. Tom Sanders sited this in his HP's internet photo printing article.
Now that I thought about it, that was supposed to be documents. This is even better and faster.
Modern advances like this is really something, makes work easier. An aspect they have not thought about is it can make people fat and lazy. No need for foot works.
Just sitting in front of the computer or laptop and a short trip to the pharmacy is all it takes. Great technology not meant for the health conscious, if you ask me.

Do disaster really matters?

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/09/do-disaster-really-matters.html

The city is buried in the flood. Many people are dead. Some are hungry and scared to death. This should be the time for dedicating prayers and for helping. This also should be the time for all the people to be united in helping out those that are in need. But what this is not the time is for some to go into racial discrimination and issues of gender. This is actually what is happening as reactions were given about the way news is featured and the kind of people featured in them.

Commentaries made on television are edited because of the strong implications it gives it can give to the people. With television cutting off what others may think as a scandalous and bad publicity, the others are turning to print ads to let out their angst. Some printers are more considerate about sensitive issues and do not mind printing them out. Thus writing out opinions and just waiting for the bullets of negative comments later on. Makes you wonder if prints would be the cause of a disaster on its own.

Shouldn’t people focus on those who are suffering enough and not adding to their misery by making them think miserable thoughts and feeling sorry for their already sorry selves? Why not solve the current problems first before making another one on top of another?

You cannot really control the thoughts of the people. One way or another, opinions will be made based from simple things and natural disasters.

Terminator: The rise of the information age

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/09/terminator-rise-of-information-age.html

We are in the midst of the information age. People have proclaimed that for years using every modern tool they can to justify its existence. The press has put that same point in every imaginable enterprise they can think of. Businesses are in loved with it and printing materials have taken its full devotion to it. There is no doubt today that to be bombarded with lots of information is not something to complain about. It is the trend and it is only right to follow it.

The information age has brought about anything that makes life easier, knowledgeable and complicated to. With this age are the people waiting for what would be invented next. Predicting is an old story; invention is the “in” thing now. These also includes people who are standing by to hear about “killer applications” and breakthrough in software that would suddenly pave its way into the market and replace the newest technology.

In printing, to invent some new techniques and tools is to be the leader and the best among the rest. Creativity is just an encore placing second to the gadgetries that men have the fortune to make. It would not surprise people if they suddenly found a poster that follows them everywhere they went. In the information age, nothing is impossible. Everything is visible.

Rectangular over square ones?

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/09/rectangular-over-square-ones.html

If you were given a choice between a square or rectangular shaped television, what would you choose? Majority would choose rectangular ones. It reflects something that has more space and easy for the eyes to adjust to. Square ones are also good but it sometimes give the feeling of being upright compared to the lying down feeling of the rectangular one. If there is such a thing as an analogy in the shapes around us, rectangle gives a more comfortable feeling compared to square.

This may also be the reason why cards are being printed more on rectangle than square papers. This is just one of the reasons. The most common conception regarding the choice between these two shapes goes way back in the early days of paper production. In those times, paper was handmade. It also needs to be molded manually. These early paper makers found that it is easier to mold rectangular than square ones. Up until now, the tradition has kept the choice of using rectangular papers.

Psychology has also been added to the reasons of tradition. It seems that rectangle gives more relaxed feeling and if used in printing paper, the readers have the inclination to choose it over square ones. That is tradition. And feelings.

Alternative to cards

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/alternative-to-cards.html

When it comes to saving time and money, human beings have the tendency for improvisation. Having multiple uses for a single product can only be thought of by the creative minds that want to make the most of what they are doing. This is like killing two bird with one stone. Having a successful main purpose and a secondary trailing along but otherwise successful also.

In the past, business cards are only contact information. The contents mainly are names, addresses and contact numbers. Nowadays, more and more added information has been thought of to be put into these cards to serve the promotional and marketing needs of the person and company that use that card. More strategies have already been inputted in these cards and taking them into another level.

The only thing that has not been done with these cards is to serve as menu cards where different categories are shown for the readers to choose from. Or as a ticket and ID for transportation and entry purposes. Maybe detectives could even use business cards as spy gadgets to get criminals. Who knows?

E-postcards toward an unrealistic future

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/e-postcards-toward-unrealistic-future.html

As if not yet contented with online messaging and e-mailing, postcards have also been made electronic with e-postcards. The existence of e-postcards is something that makes corresponding even with persons on the other side of the globe, very easy and in just the click of the fingers. People can just choose from the many options available and will have a postcard for any occasion ready in a matter of seconds. Just like that.

If you are the emotional kind of person, getting one of these cards electronically is nothing special compared if you received one by mail. The effort and creativity on the part of the sender is not seen if not seen if they only had to flick some buttons to send you one. The thought that should be in line in sending these cards are eventually lost or not the same as they old-fashioned style in doing postcards.

The latest technology that we have today seem to border from meaningless to unrealistic. The process that have been perfected for years are flushed down the drain as there are already tools and equipments making the job easier for the people. Easier and insignificant.

Laser-based printing application

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/laser-based-printing-application.html

What more could be possibly contributed to smaller, faster and cheaper printing systems? Fiber laser and ultraviolet diodes that could be used in the computer-to-plate printing market.

Laser has long been a fixture in the printing industry. Some are already being used in the printing system to improve productivity in not anymore using the film-making process. Laser diodes, on the other hand are most common in desktop printing. based from studies, the marketing sales in the market using laser technologies in printing have doubled since it was first implemented.

Laser into printing has yet to penetrate the general part of the industry. The common reason for laser-based applications not being used by the majority is its price. Not all can afford the change in the process that needed to be done in order to use laser technologies. Only some of the larger printing houses with enough monetary capacity have this technology present in their system. The rest of the much smaller ones are untapped and with only a few laser systems available for printing purposes.

Fiber laser printing would be an effective and valuable technology for those who want to have a compact and long lasting print. Not all printing system can do that.

Making people find you for themselves

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/making-people-find-you-for-themselves.html

If you want to stand out from the rest, be different. That is the best thing to do. Being different makes you not so typical bordering to being an odd one from the evens. When people wanted some change, you give it to them.

Putting something about you in the most unlikely and places that people do not expect to find it is setting a fashion. A fashionable fashion. For example, glasses. People see glasses in places that they went. Restaurants, bookstores and cafes. One thing about those passing through them is they tend to look at the glass and themselves into them. Why not make them look at you too? Los Angeles Printing Company: Full Color Postcards Catalog Brochure knows best how to get about it.

Etching to create frosted designs or carvings on a glass would do the trick. The process may be difficult, but the result would be worth it. People not expecting anything out of the ordinary would be surprised upon looking at the glass that there seem to be something in them and will have to take a closer look. See? Getting them to read you is not making it clear up front. You just have to add some creativity and a bit of a detective work for them.

Hydrophobic printers

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/hydrophobic-printers.html

The thing about printers is that they tend to become watery, accumulating dirt and affecting the printing result. Bottom line, all that will go wrong in the printing would be blamed on that or in the inks. Whatever the causes and the processes, the result is not always what you want it to be, no matter how much adjustments you make.

The most advanced two line printers that have been developed makes printer hydrophobic. It does not mean that printers run away at the sight of water. That would be animation and not real life. These two line printers make the liquid drift off easily, preventing any appearance of dirt that is the unknown culprit that affects the performance of the printer and the printing result.

If you think about it in another perspective, this would be netter appropriate for pharmaceutical and food companies that emphasizes sanitary in their products. What could be more suitable than having printers that lives up to their requirements in cleanliness?

For those who prefer best quality results combined with minimal dirt, two line printers would have to be their choice. If you are not very particular about these factors, then better stick to your old printer or get all your printed work done at : Los Angeles Printing Company: Full Color Catalog

Temporary blindness caused by sexy images

http://laprints.blogspot.com/2005/08/temporary-blindness-caused-by-sexy.html

It is now known that blindness is not only caused some factors such as reading and writing in dim lights. Or being exposed to too bright surroundings or rays that can be harmful to the eyes. Or even medical explanations like genes and hereditary and all that…
Sexy images can also cause temporary blindness.
Studies have shown that erotic images can cause people to stop registering things afterwards or after they have seen these images. The mind has been known to become totally blank or just be focused on the images that concentrations on other things are put to rest or even forgotten. This may be the main reason why sexy billboards are banned from motorways. There seem to be a tendency for more accidents happening in the location where they are put than those where there are none. Try putting neutral and erotic pictures in front of men and asking them to name sequences after. It has been proven that they tend to be more accurate after a neutral picture than a sexy one. Blame it on temporary blindness.
Sexy images in advertising has been used and proven to be an effective one in advertising. Taking the favor of most men actually. Considering their number, they win hands down. With printing more realistic and almost life-like, it cannot be denied that temporary blindness is here to stay.
